On the studio side, it’s shaping up to be a busy summer. Just finished producing a Russian Rock album and currently working on a pop rock record and a blues album.

By summers end I will be hearding back to Belgium. The beginning of November will be the return of Eclipse to Brussels. One date is booked and we are working on a few more. Pretty excited.

Studio work is getting nice and busy. In the final stages of mixing the album for Vlad Tomshin and started basic tracks for Zazoo Blues Band. Small sessions in between are keeping me busy, but always looking for more!

Now playing in a Van Halen tribute as well. The band “Unchained” will be playing The Pionnier Sat November 5th. It’s going to be a great night. The band sounds great! I’ll be posting videos and audio soon!!!

On the studio side, I’m getting very busy with that right now. A few albums in the works for various bands. I also just judged a battle of the bands where the winner will get studio time in my studio. So lots of new things are happening. Stay tuned!!

Speaking of sounding great … my studio has been upgraded. I went from an old pro tools unit to a new Digi003. Things are sounding better than ever and I’m looking forward to having a busy year this year.

Speaking of which, there’s lots of things in the works for Eclipse. We have a show confirmation to start off our fall tour. We’re booked Nov 10th at the Pavillion de la Jeunesse in Quebec City to celebrate 40 years to the day (and same venue) that Pink Floyd played for the first time in Quebec. We’ll be bringing our huge show to Montreal, Gatineau, Kingston, Toronto and some more cities to come. It’s exciting time. Check out the site for more info to come (link on the side)

With all this happening I’ve decided to trim down some of the things I’ve been doing as well. I’ve quit doing broadcast514 and some other music projects I was a part of. It’ll give me time to focus on some things I need to and get my studio more busy. All in all … 2011 is looking like a great year!

On the studio side, things have never been busy. Working really hard on the new Carolyn-Fe CD. Things are going great! I’m really excited about this album. We have a huge amount of songs we’re working on and they are sounding great. I’m also in the process of recording some songs with Peter and Chaz (Eclipse, Invisible Man). It started as just jamming out some ideas but has turned into recording an album. Each song just sounds fantastic. We’re looking at recording this ‘old school’. Still doing it to protools, but after we write the tunes, we want to take a few days and track the whole album live. We realize that things sound so good just recording the writing and jamming process so we want to capture that. Along with that, there has been talk going back and forth for another Daniel Iorio album. Excitement is in the air. I’ve received a bunch of demos from him and I’m excited to get to work on them. This album will be more stripped down compared to the last album. This will also be more of a “live off the floor” type of concept. I’m very pumped about this.

There are also some other things in the works for me that I’m excited about and once I get things on the way with them, I’ll be posting more info. Stay tuned!!!

So there’s been a lot going on this summer. I just finished producing the new record “Gotta Find a Way” by Jamirae. She’s a Country artist from Missouri. Had a great time recording the album and I’m really looking forward to seeing how far she’s going to go with it. I’m already checking out tunes for her next album!

Also, plans are set for my gig in Belgium at the end of the month. I’m really looking forward to that. This show will help open doors for more tours in Europe and beyond! I’ll definitely post news and pics of that adventure for sure.

And what’s on the horizon? I’ve already started writing / pre-production and recording tracks for the upcoming Carolyn-Fe album. This one is going to be a doozy! Just the pre-prod stuff sounds really good. What’s great about this time around is that it is more of a band effort unlike the last album. So I’m psyched about that. We’ve been playing a lot of shows this year and we’ve created such a great vibe on stage that we are capturing in the studio. When all is said and done, I think we’ll come out with a very good product that we’re all going to be proud of.
